Image to Text OCR is a Peak Productivity Chrome extension that converts user-selected images and PDF pages into text.

OCR content

Images, screenshots, PDF pixels, recognized text, file names, active page URLs, and page titles are processed locally and are not transmitted to Peak Productivity.

Anonymous user-activity measurement

The extension sends an anonymous random client ID, extension ID and version, locale, enum values, event types, counts, and success or failure outcomes to Peak Productivity. These events measure first open, first action, activation, repeated core jobs, paywall visits, plan selection, checkout start, license activation, review prompts, and retention. The payload excludes browsing content and OCR content.

Licensing

License verification sends a random device ID to ext66.com. If a license key is entered for recovery or activation, that authentication value is sent to the first-party license service. The local license cache stores only status, plan, and refresh time, not the customer email. Stripe processes billing information under its own privacy policy. OCR content is never included.

Language data

English trained data is packaged with the extension. Pro language data is downloaded only from ext66.com and cached by the OCR engine. The request identifies the selected language asset, not the OCR image or output.

Local storage

Chrome local storage holds settings, quota state, local OCR history, anonymous identifiers, rating prompt state, and the limited license cache described above. Users can clear history or reset their settings from Options; a reset keeps the daily usage count and the anonymous install identifier.

Data sharing and sale

Peak Productivity does not sell extension data, use it for credit decisions, or transfer it for unrelated advertising purposes.

Retention

Local history remains until the user clears it or removes extension data. Anonymous analytics and billing records are retained only as needed for product measurement, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal obligations.

Feedback you choose to send

After 10 successful OCR jobs the extension may ask for a star rating. Ratings of 4 or 5 stars open the Chrome Web Store review page. If you choose 1 to 3 stars and press Send, the message you typed, the star rating and the extension name and ID are sent to Peak Productivity at ext66.com. Nothing is sent unless you press Send.
